Your Brain is Changing!

Aging is not just a process of the body
Our brain is an organic supercomputer. Infinitely flexible and always functioning – it is easy to assume that our brains are infallible. Unfortunately, this is far from the truth. As we live and enjoy our busy lives, our brains are constantly working to process our emotions, skills, and knowledge. Our ability to respond to and process these events is known as “neuroplasticity” in the medical community – an umbrella term that refers to the brain’s capacity to adapt and reorganize itself in the face of new stimulation. Unfortunately, our neuroplasticity steadily declines as we age; ultimately leading to debilitating cognitive impairments, if left unchecked.

The seven symptoms of a troubled brain
As a brain loses its neuroplasticity, it becomes progressively harder for the brain to remember new details or to learn new skills. Left uncorrected, this mental degradation could lead to Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other chronic cognitive impairments. The medical community has identified seven kinds of symptoms that are often a precursor to an unhealthy brain and reduced cognitive function. Please take a moment to read the list below and determine if you or a loved one has experienced or demonstrated any of the following:
• Depression, Sadness, or Mood Swings
• Anxiety, Stress, or Panic Attacks
• Chronic Fatigue or feeling ‘Wired & Tired’
• Unfocused, Mentally Absent, or Brain Fog
• Forgetfulness or Short Term Memory Loss
• Digestive Issues or a Weak Immune System
• Sleep Disorders
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, we urge you to visit a Neurological Specialist as soon as possible.
