Upskilling in Healthy Longevity Medicine and Its Association With Physicians' Implementation Intent and Self-Reported Clinical Confidence
Introduction
Healthy Longevity Medicine is an emerging medical discipline focused on promoting healthspan, preventive care, and personalized approaches to long-term well-being. However, structured educational programs for physicians in this field remain limited.
Objective
This study aimed to evaluate how accredited Healthy Longevity Medicine education may influence physicians’ confidence, clinical implementation intent, professional attitudes, and integration of longevity medicine principles into practice.
Methods
A cross-sectional online survey was conducted among physicians who completed accredited Healthy Longevity Medicine courses between January 2023 and February 2024. A total of 113 physicians from 42 nationalities were included in the analysis.
Results
The study found that 96.5% of respondents reported increased confidence in Healthy Longevity Medicine-related knowledge after completing the program, with 47.8% reporting substantial improvement.
Conclusion
The findings suggest that structured education in Healthy Longevity Medicine may help strengthen physicians’ confidence and support the translation of longevity medicine principles into clinical practice.
