Diet plays a major role in the general health of our skin. A balanced diet consisting of foods such as dark green vegetables, beans, red fruits, essential fatty acids, and fruits high in vitamin C can significantly increase a person’s ability to produce new collagen.

What Age Is Best to Treat Skin Laxity

As mentioned above, genetics play a huge role in collagen production and skin laxity. We all know those people who don’t look a day over 30 despite the fact that they are well over. Some of it is just their genetics. Some people age more slowly than others. But this is precisely why we cannot necessarily pin down the best age to treat skin laxity. It is not so much somebody’s chronological age as much as how they take care of themselves and their skin, in addition to all of the other factors mentioned above. Patients in their 30s and 40s, statistically speaking, see better overall results when preventing and treating skin laxity; however, people in their 50s and 60’s can still see good results if they have physiologically healthy skin.
